Bloomsburg University Zeigler College Of Business Launches Consulting Practice
Bloomsburg, PA (11/09/2021) — The Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Zeigler College of Business announces the formation of Zeigler Business Consulting (ZBC), a multidisciplinary practice that offers the services of University professors to various businesses and non-profit organizations in the region.
"This program will yield multiple collaborations between University professors and local businesses in an overall effort to enhance the local economy and provide meaningful learning experiences for students," said Todd Shawver, Dean of the Zeigler College of Business.
Professors from marketing, accounting, information technology, finance, management, and other areas will provide tiered service levels, allowing area businesses to access skilled consulting services to drive the companies to the next level.
"As businesses contend with the new landscape brought on by the pandemic and other economic conditions, fresh thinking and approaches can help them survive and thrive," Shawver said.
Local businesses can receive help with a variety of services and deal with issues, including supply chain management, information technology platforms, and other contemporary business issues.
Local businesses and non-profits can purchase ZBC consulting packages to address marketing, accounting, finance, and management issues.
"This is a win for both our local businesses and our students, said BU Provost and Senior Vice President Diana Rogers-Adkinson. "Our faculty will utilize their vast expertise to help businesses be successful and simultaneously provide rich experiential learning experiences for our students. It will lead to both short-term and long-term results for the community."
It is anticipated that Zeigler Business Consulting will directly influence economic development in the region and contribute to the overall economic impact of Bloomsburg University. The firm will further promote Zeigler College of Business academic excellence by providing applied learning experiences for students.
