Bloomsburg University to Harvard Economist for talk on 'Challenges after the COVID Recession'
Bloomsburg, PA (09/09/2021) — Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania will host Harvard University professor N. Gregory Mankiw on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. via Zoom. Professor Mankiw will speak on the topic of "Economic Challenges after the COVID Recession."

Mankiw is the Robert M. Beren Professor of Economics at Harvard University. He has worked as a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, an adviser to the Congressional Budget Office, the Federal Reserve Banks of Boston and New York, and served as Chairman of the President's Council of Economic Advisers from 2003 to 2005.
His research has included work on price adjustment, consumer behavior, financial markets, monetary and fiscal policy, and economic growth. His publications include two popular textbooks: Macroeconomics, an intermediate-level textbook from Worth Publishers, and Principles of Economics, an introductory textbook with Cengage Learning. Principles of Economics has sold over two million copies and has been translated into 20 languages. His many academic articles have appeared in journals such as the American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, and Quarterly Journal of Economics. He has also been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal.
In addition to his research, writing, and teaching, Mankiw also was a member of the ETS test development committee for the advanced placement economics exam.
