Bloomsburg University Arts in Bloom series presents Tango Argentina

Tango Argentina is a stunning new production featuring GD Tango with music by the Fabrizio Mocata Quartet. The show explores Tango through the combination of unique choreography and improvised elements performed by acclaimed Dancers and Musicians from Argentina.
Participants will see the charisma of its movements and the severity of its music including four quartets of musicians and eight dancers. They will also understand the bond between Guillermo De Fazio and Giovanna Dan, dancers from Buenos Aries who perform the GD Tango. Both being raised in artistic, musical families, both dancers have learned multiple disciplines to make them into the performers they are today.
The duo has showcased their talents in countries all around the world like Europe, South America, Asia, and the Middle East. The pair have choreographed commercials and TV projects and produced the award-winning show, "Once Upon a Tango."
Giovanna grew up behind theatre curtains watching her tango dancer mother and musician father on stages worldwide. Guillermo, son of a classical pianist, learned multiple disciplines at his grandmother's Academy of Argentine Arts and Culture. They have showcased their talents around the world together since 2015 and are currently based in Los Angeles.
The Fabrizio Mocata Quartet is led by pianist, composer, Fabrizio who is widely recognized as one of the most innovative and promising talents of the international Tango scene thanks to his ability to combine authenticity, classical training, and refined jazz influence. His sunny and original Tango has become a recurrent highlight of all the major Tango festivals (Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Granada, Medellin) where he shared the stage with several of the living greats of the genre.
His recent discography includes "Swango" and "Cruzando Aguas" and he is currently the musical director of "Recital Cantango" and "Tango Argentina".
