Bloomsburg University Chapter of Chi Alpha Epsilon Inducts New Members
Bloomsburg University's Nu Chapter of Chi Alpha Epsilon, the National Honor Society that recognizes the academic achievements of college students in access and scholar programs, recently celebrated the induction of 10 new members. Chi Alpha Epsilon was founded in 1990 at West Chester University in response to the increasing need to acknowledge the continuing successes of students in the university's academic development program. Program directors at colleges and universities across the country have hailed the society's formation, and in 1996 the National Association of Developmental Educators endorsed Chi Alpha Epsilon as the Honor Society for developmental program students.

Bloomsburg University Holds Tri Alpha Honor Society Induction
Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania recently held its Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha) Honor Society induction ceremony. In all, 47 students were recognized with induction into the honor society that promotes academic excellence, leadership development, and campus and community service for first-generation college students. Induction into Tri-Alpha is earned by outstanding academic achievement and lasts for a lifetime. The Society's mission is to encourage and reward academic excellence among first-generation college students pursuing a bachelor's degree in accredited institutions of higher learning.

Bloomsburg University Inducts Students into Anthropology Honor Society
The Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Zeta Chapter of Lambda Alpha, the national honor society in anthropology, inducted nine new members in the Spring of 2021. Anthropology students become eligible for membership when they achieve junior status with a minimum of 12 credits in anthropology and maintain a minimum of a 3.2 GPA in their anthropology classes.

Bloomsburg University Students Named to Tri-Alpha Honor Society
Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania recently held its Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha) Honor Society induction ceremony. Bloomsburg University Inducts Students into Psychology Honor Society
The Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Department of Psychology virtually inducted 10 new members into Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. To be eligible for membership in Psi Chi, a student has to be majoring in psychology, have completed 36 credit hours, have a "B" or higher in PSYCH 281, and completed PSYCH 282. In addition, students need to hold a 3.2 or higher overall GPA and a 3.5 or higher GPA in psychology.

Bloomsburg University Recognizes New Members of National Communication Honor Society
The Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Xi Omega chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Honor Society, inducts communication studies majors and minors each year based on their academic achievements. Despite the postponement of the 2019-20 induction ceremony until next year, the chapter welcomed 24 new students.

International foreign language society
International Foreign Language Society induction ceremony
The Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Iota Theta Chapter welcomed nine new students as members in Phi Sigma Iota, the International Foreign Language Society on Friday, April 26. The ceremony was conducted by BU faculty members Jesus Salas-Elorza, Amarilis Hidalgo de Jesus, and Patricia Dorame-Holoviak, faculty advisor. During the 2018-19 academic year, Iota Theta Chapter also held its Senior Presentation Series which included the following presenters: Jade A. Hensinger (Spanish in Medical Care), Michael Quaranto (Norilsk and Barrow, similar conditions, dissimilar supply chains), and Nicholas McGuire (Comparing the Governments of Spain and Argentina). The following new members were initiated: Front Row- (L-R) Adriana Diaz, Elayne Che, Arabeska Cruz, Brianna Belzner, and Ayalibis Cruz.
