Commonwealth University College of Science and Technology to Host Annual Health Sciences Symposium and Wellness Fair

Bloomsburg, PA (04/24/2023) — The College of Science and Technology at Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania will host its 31st annual Health Sciences Symposium and 35th annual Wellness Fair on the Bloomsburg campus.

Dr. Gregory J. Morgan, associate professor of philosophy at the Stevens Institute of Technology will deliver the keynote address for the symposium on Thursday, April 27, at 5 p.m. in the Haas Center's Mitrani Hall. Morgan's talk will cover "The Surprisingly Fruitful Search for Cancer Viruses."

Morgan's research centers on the history and philosophical issues around early structural virology. His most recent publication, "Cancer Virus Hunters," is a history of tumor virology, the study of viruses that cause cancer.

The Wellness Fair will be held Friday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Kehr Union Building multipurpose rooms A and B.

The Health Sciences Symposium and Wellness fair are sponsored by the College of Science and Technology and the College of Health Professions at Commonwealth University along with the Community Giving Foundation in Berwick.
