Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg Recognizes Top Honor Graduates for Spring 2023
Bloomsburg, PA (05/11/2023) — Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg is recognizing its top honor graduates for each college for Spring 2023. Each student will be acknowledged at the University's commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 13.
The ceremonies will be held outdoors (rain or shine) at Redman Stadium as follows.

The top honor graduates from the College of Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities are Peyton Cate and Ethan Holub.
Cate, from Stewartstown, Pa., will graduate summa cum laude with bachelor's degrees in communication studies-interpersonal communication and political science. She received the Outstanding Political Science Student Award for having the highest cumulative GPA in the political science department and has also been on the Dean's List for the past seven semesters. Cate is also a member of the Lambda Pi Eta communication studies honor society; Pi Sigma Alpha political science honor society; and Phi Kappa Phi honor society for superior scholarship in all academic disciplines. After graduation, Cate plans to attend Penn State Law.
Holub, from Coplay, Pa., who is also the top honor graduate from the College of Education and Human Studies, will graduate summa cum laude with bachelor's degrees in English and in education (secondary education-English). He is a member of the Honors College and the Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society and plans to attend graduate school in the future.
The top honor graduate from the College of Health Professions is Emily Moyer who will graduate summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in speech pathology and audiology. Moyer, of Warminster, Pa., plans to attend Bloomsburg in the fall to study for her doctorate in audiology. She has been on the Dean's List every semester as a student.
The Zeigler College of Business has named Maranda Plunkett as its top honor graduate. Plunkett, of Upper Darby, Pa., will graduate with a bachelor's degree in international business with a minor in supply chain management. She has been inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma international honor society; membership is only extended to the top 10% of undergrads in AACSB-accredited business schools. Plunkett was also named the top graduate in the Department of Management; was a 2021 recipient of the CIBER (Center for International Business Education and Research) Award; was president of the Global Business Association on campus, and a member of the American Marketing Association and the Association for Supply Chain Management. After graduation, her plans are to attend a program in Vietnam as a volunteer intern.
From the College of Science and Technology, Dante Sabolchick is the top honor graduate. Sabolchick, of Marion Heights, Pa., will graduate with a bachelor's degree in digital forensics and cybersecurity.
